Septarian Nodule Fossil Pairs
Approx Size: 3-3.5 inches
These nodules are formed when cracks or fissures in the sedimentary rocks become filled with mineral-rich fluids over time. As these fluids evaporate or react with the surrounding rock, the minerals precipitate out and accumulate, forming distinctive patterns and structures.
You will receive a specimen (matching halves) that looks similar to the ones in the photos.
